The best proof that we don't think in a normal language is that we find ourselves struggling to find words for an image or concept in our mind.
The reason I say this is because, in trying to find a phrase which summed up how I felt when listening to this mix - which is my usual method of naming the mix - I was stumped. What I want to express is both the feeling of watching the high-power display lasers at raves spraying fans and waves of light across the jubilant dancers, and the idea of a laser burning through the interstellar darkness and penetrating the clouds of our atmosphere to signal the existence of another intelligence in the cosmos. The title "A Laser Through Smoke" contains the hint of these ideas, but still to me feels like a poor description of the energy and communication I get out of listening to this mix.
I hope it makes you feel similarly.
