54 - Ultraspeed

Ultraspeed is what happens when I take the technique I occasionally use – mix in the body of a track rather than its ends – and use it for almost everything. Fitting 26 tracks in a CD-length recording means everything happens quickly, and it also means you don’t get bored listening to all those intros and outros where what you really want is that piece in the middle where the hairs stand up on your arms and you get a tingly feeling in your spine. It’s got a lot of my favourite tracks in it, too, which helps get those energetic, ultra-speed feelings going in me.
