On How To Run An Event That's Not Quite Popular Enough...
The culmination of six months of arduous planning was this weekend, when Kate
and I ran the Canberra Irish Set Dance weekend. Now I am tired and my feet are
sore. A combination of factors otiose in their complexity means that the event
wasn't the success I'd hoped it would be, chief amongst them being that it made
a loss whereas last year we made a profit. Though the people who came thanked
us profusely, has this made up for the plethora of arguments and problems Kate
and I had in organising it? Though I enjoyed myself dancing and running the
event, is it really worth our while running it again? I wish I knew.
I probably just need some sleep...
