The PaulWay Mixes

This is the complete list of my mixes, with appropriate information. All mixes are hosted using BitTorrent.

For people new to this page, you are no doubt wondering what all these mixes sound like and which ones you'd be interested in. The most popular answers to these questions are: try downloading some; have a look at the track listing of each mix to see if there are any artists you recognise; if you want a brief sample of my generic tastes try Aleph One; if you want a more comprehensive view try the Infinity Mix (which really should be called Aleph Zero for mathematical reasons); If you're a guru who knows your old-school techno and trance then do me a favour and listen to the Transcriptions mixes and see if you can identify the songs I don't know; otherwise just have a listen!

Update: After my internet connection at home suffered a clobbering by people downloading the files I hosted on my machine, I decided to take all the MP3 files down as direct links. I had set up an upload limit of 5KB/sec per transfer on my HTTP server, to allow people without BitTorrent to download the files without hurting my upload bandwidth too much. However, people using leeching software that downloads up to ten fragments from the same server simultaneously get around this limit. So good news for the leechers: you've stuffed it for yourself and for everyone. From now on, I'm only offering the files as BitTorrent links. That should improve the bandwidth for everyone - as there will be more seeds - and leeches will be punished by the system.

If you are genuinely unable to use BitTorrent from anywhere, email me and I'll give you a one-off link to the file. But everyone else can just learn to be nice. I use Azureus, but there are plenty of other BitTorrent Clients out there.

I welcome any suggestions, criticisms and recommendations for new music to listen to. I will consider doing specific mixes for people, but this is only a hobby. Hope to hear from you.
